Hitch Hiking Blue

Arrived to split as beautiful place as I have seen
Then overland to a central place and my next ride
The worst place in Bosnia
More rubble than left standing down a central line

I had kuna from Croatia I could spend this was nice for me
We had lunch on one side and someone paid with money I did not yet have
Across the street around the corner to the other side I spent my last kuna

It was a nice lunch and somehow I digested with no problems not understanding my surroundings
I left with a guy from Oklahoma in a Land Rover almost as old as I
We picked up a hitch hiker or two soldiers Robert and they knew where to get out
The first surprise in war there are so many walking soldiers in twos and threes
We crossed many lines that day on a map dotted in life drawn with blood

Several years later I lived in that divided worst place in Bosnia
Four of us left for Sarajevo having missed the bus in two directions
Two headed east two headed west mostly small cars no room for four

I went with one other to Dornji Vakuf around to Sarajevo we made
Each direction was more or less the same not sure how we decided
I liked old Travnik more then and Turbe was open

We stood at the side of the road and somehow arrived our destination
Not sure how we got home but the trip there seems like yesterday
Certain moments never leave me and they take me when I am ajar

Yes when I am open they come and speak to me I never really had any problems
I stand at the side of the road and will arrive my destination
This next war zone I teach children again and find I sleep with reckless abandon


Certainly more rubble than left standing I pass several times a week to work
I see the most impossible of decisions made in the third grade nothing new

Voids

One of  the largest structures we have found are voids
They define outline remind give structure the future

Beyond the local group of galaxies to be clear the scale
Yet also the atoms are voids the most natural of occurrence

To this webbing life clings or is it the voids love fleas give it away
Everything can come first, things tend to clump, it is their nature
